JUNE

It has already been one month since I came back from Vietnam.

During this past month, I have had the chance to meet many wonderful people, and I truly appreciate it.

The other day, someone told another person, “If you’re in Tokyo, you should go to Yuki.” Honestly, I was very happy, but even more than that, I was surprised. I didn’t really know how to describe the feeling because it was the first time anyone had ever recommended me like that.

I don’t know whether my work was truly helpful to that person, but hearing those words meant a lot to me.

Around autumn 2024, I started working with more international clients, including people who live in Japan. At the beginning, I was so nervous about speaking English that I had very little room in my mind to think about anything else during the session. Last year, many more people visited me than I had expected, but I still felt nervous every time.

Something started to change around April this year. It’s not because my English suddenly became better. I simply stopped worrying so much about the language.

Then I noticed something interesting. The way I look at my clients has changed.

This is not a negative thing.

Actually, I have become more interested in the people themselves. I find myself naturally observing their posture, the way they stand, how they speak, their facial expressions, and the movement of their eyes during the first few minutes after we meet.

Because of my work, I have always had the habit of sensing a person’s atmosphere or presence when we first meet. But now I notice that I observe people in a much more detailed way than before.

My English is still far from perfect. But these days, it doesn’t bother me very much.

This is just my own way of thinking, but I sometimes feel that a treatment itself can also be a form of communication. At least, that is how I try to approach every session.

Recently, there is something else that has become very interesting to me, but I’ll save that for next time.

Tokyo is also about to become hotter, with temperatures soon going over 30°C.

Anyway, here’s a song.

MIDIval Punditz is an Indian electronic music duo known for blending traditional Indian influences with electronic beats.

This is a song I used to listen to a lot when I was really into meditation, Zen, and acrobatic freestyle Thai massage. I often listened to it while planning my sessions.

If this kind of music is your thing, I think you’ll really enjoy it.
It’s just so cool.

Recently, I’ve been listening to The Beths.

I love her beautiful voice. Even during the rainy season, when the weather isn’t very nice, their music makes me feel like going for a bike ride.

It clears my mind.
She has such a beautiful voice.
They’re coming to Fuji Rock this year.

Sometimes I really miss spices.
I usually have curry with rice, not naan.
